BACKGROUND
Peatones Colombia was born from the Colombian Pedestrian Foundation, an NGO that since 1999 has produced knowledge around the pedestrian issue, exercised social control in what concerns pedestrians and advised public officials, students and citizens in general, all within a framework of scientific rigor and independence.
OTHER COMMUNITY SERVICES
LIBRARY. Specialized technical library, including books, reports, journals, and digital documents. Free counselled consultation by appointment at the Foundation's headquarters.
CONFERENCES. Motivational and illustrative talks and conferences, specially adapted according to the type of audience on topics related to road safety, the rights and duties of pedestrians and related environmental aspects.
PROCESSING BEFORE OFFICIAL ENTITIES. Advice and accompaniment to the processing of formal requests to official entities on issues related to pedestrian problems.
INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANCIES. Aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, researchers and citizens in general who have been making use of this service since the beginning of the Foundation.
WALKS. Promotion of the action of walking in all its modalities.
